The Ketu South Municipal Assembly last Friday October 18, 2013 failed to endorse the President’s nominee Mr. Pascal Lamptey as the Municipal Chief Executive.

The Ketu South Municipal Assembly last Friday October 18, 2013 failed to endorse the President’s nominee Mr. Pascal Lamptey as the Municipal Chief Executive.

Mr. Lamptey failed to secure the mandatory two-third majority required for his endorsement as he was only able to poll 33 votes, with 20 against. Three votes were however rejected.

The nominee must secure at least 38 votes to sail through.

All is not however lost since another election would be conducted within 10 days to determine his fate.
