George Opare Addo, the newly confirmed Chief Executive for the Akuapim North District Assembly has taken office after he was sworn into office.

Eastern Regional Minister Hellen Ntoso, who performed the swearing in ceremony for Mr. Opare Addo and two other chief executives, Kweku Owusu Acheampong, New Juaben Municipal Assembly, and Thomas Nyarkoh Ampim, Asuogyaman District Assembly urged them to cooperate with stakeholders in their various jurisdictions to accelerate development.

The minister laid emphasis on the need for assemblies to pay attention to the education sector to ensure quality education for the youth in their assemblies. This she noted would prepare them adequately for the future.

Ms Ntoso also called on the chief executives to facilitate the completion of existing ongoing development projects, adding that chief executives should perform their duties in a non-partisan manner and fairly distribute projects to the benefit of all.
