The Medium and Small Enterprise (MSE) that oversee the implementation of the Rural Enterprise Programme in the Akuapem North Municipal has acquired an ultra-modern office complex for its activities at Obosomase.

In an interview, Mad. Jane Gyekye, who is charge of the Business Advisory Committee, told the ISD that her Committee, which was put in place in June this year, was working to complement government efforts to find solutions to unemployment challenges in the country.

She said it was government’s objective to empower the youth especially women to set up their individual businesses so as to earn a living.

Mad Gyekye explained that in the past, the National Board for Small Scale Industry (NBSSI) had been organising capacity, management and technical trainings for small groups in the municipality to equip them with modern trends in their areas of operations.

She said with the acquisition of the new office, the MSE was poised to train more youth to equip them with self-employable skills.
