Plans are far advanced for the construction of an ultra-modern District Hospital at Dodowa, the capital of the Dangme West District Assembly in the Greater Accra Region.

The project is aimed at bringing quality healthcare services to the door steps of residents.

This was made known when the Minister of Health Sherry Ayitteycut sod at Kansaworodo near Takoradi for the commencement of six District Hospitals in the country.

The rest of the facilities will be sited at Abetifi, Garu Tempane, Dodowa, Formena.
According to the Minister, the United Kingdom based Messrs NMS Infrastructure Limited, signed a 175-million dollar contract in November 2012 to finance the project.
