The Assemblyman for Nii Okaiman West Electoral Area in the Ga Central Municipality, Mr. Sheriff Abdul Fathah is calling on government and benevolent organizations to help install streetlights at Chantan, a town which falls directly under his electoral area.

He said the perpetrators usually hide at dark spots to commit such atrocities.
According to him, the area becomes unsafe during the evening hours as criminals and wrongdoers invade the area deprive residents of their belongings whiles blaming the problem on lack of streetlights in the area.

“This is because most places in Chantan are in darkeness,” he added.

Mr. Sheriff believed that the installation of streetlights could go a long way to beef up security in the area as well as boast the economic status of the area.
