Four Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives whose 4 year term has expired and have not been re-nominated have been ordered to handover to the Regional Minister and vacate their positions.

They include,
Robert Kempes Ofosu-Ware – Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA)
Ebenezer Nii Armah Tackie – Ga West Municipal Assembly (GAWA)
Numo Adinortey Addison – Ashaiman Municipal Assembly (ASHMA) and
Rex Daniel Wusah – Dangme East District Assembly

It’s however not clear why they were relieved of their posts.

The Local Government and Rural Development Minister, Mr. Akwasi Oppong Ofosu recently affirmed that appointment of more MMDCEs will terminated soon.
