Mr Joseph Acquaye Derben, Abura Aseibu Kwamankese District Coordinating Director has stated that the Assembly spent a total of GH¢4,075.00, out of the GH¢8,500.00 it received, in providing Kalypo and biscuits for school children in the district.
    

He said about GH¢1,140.00 was also spent on fuel for a period of nine days for the organization of the Ghana@50 celebrations.
    

Mr Derben, who was testifying before the three-member Presidential Inquiry Commission on the Ghana@50 celebrations, said the expenditure was necessary as it provided the school children the opportunity to exhibit their God-given talents, by participating in programmes.
    

He said a toilet facility that was being constructed at Abura was yet to be completed, as the contractor had not fitted electrical appliances and water closets.
