Mr Robert Fokuo, the President’s nominee,  for the Amansie Central District, has been endorsed by the 22 assembly members who cast their votes as the District Chief Executive (DCE).

Mr Samuel Anto, was also elected the Presiding Member when he polled all the 22 votes after his contestant, Mr Oppong Fosu, withdrew.
          
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr Kofi Opoku Manu, who was at the meeting, expressed satisfaction at the peaceful manner the confirmation was carried out and thanked the assembly members for confirming the President’s nominees.
          
He advised them to put their political leanings behind them and co-operate fully with the Chief Executives in the execution of development projects for their areas.
