The project is under the “improving access to quality education for the children in Ghana project”, and is implemented by ActionAid with funding from Barrowman Foundation of the United Kingdom (UK).

The Interim Country Director for ActionAid, Mr. John Nkaw, said the facility forms part of efforts to increase access and retention of girls in particular and working with local communities towards a better future for their children.

Sagnerigu Tamal Na, Mohammed Fuseini, commended ActionAid and its partners for the project.

He noted that the construction of the girl’s model basic school in the Municipality, is a huge challenge thrown at parents and urged residents of the Municipality to take advantage of the school to educate their wards.
