The beneficiary communities which included Yilonayili, Wuvugu Yapala, Saguli and Santugu are currently enjoying electricity.

During the project's commissioning, the Municipal Chief Executive of Sagnarigu, Mohammed Ahmed Yakubu noted that since its inception in 2017, the government of H.E President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been committed to extending electricity to every corner of the country. At the moment, about 90% of communities in the nation are connected to the National Grid.

The MCE stated that the availability of electricity would boost businesses and rural industrialization, which would improve the economic condition of the people.

He also warned against making illegal connections and urged the beneficiary’s communities to make an effort to pay their bills in order to support NEDCo's ability to continue producing electricity.

The Chiefs and residents of Yilonayili, Wuvugu Yapala, Saguli, and Santugu expressed their appreciation to the MCE and, largely, to the government and NEDCo for the power project and gave him their assurance that they would not abuse the power.

The project's consultant, Mr Joachim Arthur Simpson, appealed to the chiefs and the residents of Yilonayili, Wuvugu Yapala, Saguli, and Santugu to be accommodating and allow the erection of electricity poles on their lands to facilitate the smooth expansion of electricity to adjoining communities in subsequent projects.

He also urged them to avoid hiring quack electricians and using low-quality electrical products since they were the main causes of fires.
