Construction works underway at the Dambai Training College are to be given priority for completion by the end of the year.

The works include the construction of a six-unit classroom, a library block and a six-seater water closet.

These projects, which form part of an up-grading programme of the 38 Teacher Training Colleges, when completed would enable the construction of either a dining hall or administration block to be carried out next year, depending on the choice of the College.

The Minister of Education, Science and Sports, Prof. Dominic Fobih,  announced this on Wednesady when he answered questions on the floor of the House.

The answer was in response to a question from Mr Wisdom Gidisu, Member of Parliament, (NDC-Krachi East) on whether the Ministry would provide an administration block for the College to replace the existing old wooden structure.

Prof. Fobih announced also that construction work on a two-storey classroom at the Three Town Senior Secondary School in the Ketu South constituency was expected to be completed in 2009 in line with the Ministry’s policy of completing on-gong projects.

He said an assembly hall project would be considered when new projects are to be listed for inclusion in the 2010 investment policy.
