Reverend Emmanuel Agbeti, Acting Principal of Dambai Training College (DATCO) has praised government for providing a six-unit classroom block and a library complex for the school with funds from the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFUND).
He said such facilities are important especially at a time when training colleges were being upgraded to tertiary status.
Rev. Agbeti who was speaking to the GNA in an interview at Dambai in the Volta Region, however said a lot still needs to be done in terms of the school’s infrastructure .
He observed that the school was still using a six-unit wooden structure as an administration block, whiles the kitchen, dinning and assembly hall was in a deplorable state.
Rev. Agbeti said the school remained a major stakeholder in education and appealed to old students, NGOs and philanthropists to come to its aid by providing it with textbooks and reading materials to stock the new library complex.
