ASIKUMA O.B: Benin Catholic "A" gets 6-unit block
The Benin Catholic ‘A’ Primary School in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District has benefited from a six-unit classroom block to aid teaching and learning in the district.

The facility was built with financial support from the District Assembly Common Fund also has staff common room.
The District Chief Executive, Mr. Isaac Odoom in his remarks at the commissioning of the classroom block noted that Presiden Akufo- Addo placed importance on education and that is why he introduced free senior high education to make education accessible to all.
He said that government is doing its best to improve on education to the highest level and ensure accessibility to all Ghanaians.
The Member of Parliament for the area, Mr. Anthony Effah urged parents and guidance to support their wards’ education and invest in them, adding that as an MP for the area, he is very excited that Benin has benefited from such project and promised they will continue to do more for the community.
Nana Twum Barima, District Director of Education urged parents to invest in their children education and make good use of the building.
The Headmistress of the school Madam Doris Day Botsi said the completion of the project was a relief to the school authorities after the project was abandoned due to lack of funds.
She appealed to the DCE to help provide furniture to meet students’ enrollment.
