NKORANZA S: MCE cuts sod for toilet facilities for Nkwabeng

A ground breaking ceremony for the construction of toilet facilities has been held at Nkwabeng in the Nkoranza South Municipality.

Addressing the gathering, the Nkoranza South Municipal Chief Executive, Madam Diana Attaa-Kusiwaa said the population of Nkwabeng has increased tremendously meanwhile there is no portable toilet in the community. Therefore, government through Nkoranza South Municipal Assembly has put measures in place to construct an ultra-modern toilet facility for them.

The MCE said government in its 2018 budget promised to construct more portable toilet facilities to make the citizenry acquire better place of convenience and stressed that, it is upon the promise that the Nkoranza South Municipal Assembly is fulfilling that promise.

She disclosed that effort is being put in place to construct

• Sixteen (16) ultramodern water closet toilet at Akyease electoral area,

• Twenty (20) ultramodern water closet toilet at Mankessim electoral area, and

• Sixteen (16) at Anaafo electoral area to augment existing ones.

Madam Attaa-Kusiwaa finally said, most of the toilet facilities in Nkwabeng are not good enough and the construction of fifty-two (52) ultramodern water closet toilet facility will go a long way to address some of the problems confronting the people.

Nana Apau who represented the traditional council and doubled as an Assembly member for the Nkwabeng was grateful to the President, H E. Nana Addo Dankwah and the Municipal Chief Executive for the kind of gesture and promised to give their support to ensure the contractors to complete the projects on time.
