ZABZUGU: Rainstorm renders dozen homeless
Over 2000 residents in the Zabzugu District of the Northern Region have been rendered homeless as a result of a rainstorm which destroyed properties worth millions of Cedis.

About 152 houses and three churches in the district have been completely damaged after the rainstorm ripped off the roofing of the houses.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Zabzugu, Ahmed Abukari Iddrisu, said his outfit would collaborate with the District National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) Coordinator to provide relief items to the victims as soon as possible.
He said they would provide temporary accommodation for them, especially pregnant women and children who were affected by the rainstorm.
Some of the affected communities include Gor-langyili, Gor-Kukani, Kukpalligu, Belindo, Nakpali Nbebudo, among others.
Four schools namely Kulkpaligu, DA Gor-langyili DA Gor-Kukani DA and Rajia Primary Schools, have also been ravaged by the rainstorm.
The District NADMO Coordinator, Nana Nuhu, indicated that the registration of the affected victims was underway.
He gave assurance that relief items would be supplied immediately by the registration process ends.
