This year’s Regional Farmers’Day will be held at Berekum to award our hardworking and deserving farmers for feeding the nation. This year’scelebrationis under the theme “Planting for food and jobs”.

The Regional Minister in his inaugural address charged the committee to deliver on their mandate. He said he is ready to support the committee in the course of discharging their duties to make the celebration a success.

 The Regional Director for Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) Dr. Cyril Quist supervised the setting up of the sub-committees. In all, six sub-committees were set up to facilitate the planning process and to submit a draft budget for the programme. 

The Director of MoFA noted the planning committee members will later visit Berekum to access the planning process at the local level to ensure a successful celebration of the event.
