Atiwa Assembly completes ongoing projects

The successful completion of ongoing projects being undertaken by the Atiwa District Assembly has paved way for the award of new contracts for new projects, District Chief Executive for the area, Kwabena Panin Nkansah has disclosed.

The DCE briefing assembly members during the second ordinary meeting of the third session of the fourth assembly disclosed that the Assembly expended parts of its 2016 fourth quarter district Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) to mop-up all ongoing projects being financed by the assembly, adding that the projects have duly been handed over and are in use by the various beneficiaries.

To this end, he indicated that tendering processes for the award of new contracts for new projects would start when funds are released to the assembly.

He also announced plans to pave the Anyinam Market following the successful paving of the Anyinam abattoir.

In a related development, the DCE informed the house of the successful implementation of projects under the Ghana Social Opportunity Project (GSOP) namely; Pameng Cocoa Farm and Frimpongso Citrus Farm.

However, these projects are yet to be handed over to the Assembly to manage, and they look forward to it.
