This came to light when officials of the Ghana Highways Authority together with the District Chief Executive Hon. Edward Owusu plied the route to assess the extent of deterioration.

The road which links Brong Ahafo to the Ashanti region has along it settlements like Amanfrom, Mem, Watro, Kwabena Gyan and Seneso all predominantly farming communities within the district.

According to Mr. Kyei Mensah of the Brong Ahafo regional office of the Ghana Highways Authority, works to be carried out will include regravelling, spot improvement, reinforcement of existing culverts and the laying of new ones.

He said the first 5 kilometers which was found to be the most deplorable will receive immediate attention as his outfit prepares to fix the entire road holistically.

Hon. Edward Owusu asked for the prompt start of work since the bad nature of the road pose huge problems to users recalling a recent demonstration by those affected.

The DCE promised to pull the necessary strings to ensure that the problem is resolved as soon as practicable.

Present was the Road Area Manager of the GHA Mr. Benjamin Bosu who is in charge of the district.
