NCCE holds parliamentary debate in Atebubu

Mr. Tampugre made the call at a parliamentary debate organized by his outfit in Atebubu.
The session attended by Messrs Abu Issa Dimie of the New Patriotic Party NPP and Abraham Kwaku Henaa of the Progressive Peoples Party PPP saw the 2 aspirants answering questions on five main areas namely: education, employment, health, roads and the economy.
The NPP candidate promised to help provide schools for deprived communalities, entice the youth into agriculture, provide CHPS compounds for communities with over a population of 300, expand the existing road network in the constituency through the District Road Improvement Project and arrange loan facilities for traders to enable them to grow their businesses.
The PPP candidate, on the other hand, promised to help provide a befitting office for the Atebubu-Amantin municipal education directorate, train the youth in employable skills, help provide hostel facilities for people accompanying patients to the Atebubu government hospital, ensure a proper layout of roads in the constituency, provide essential facilities at the Atebubu main market and ensure the use of standardized measurements for maize to enhance farmer incomes.
The first Member of Parliament for the constituency in the Fourth Republic Hon. Amadu Ali made some insightful contributions to the debate touching particularly on the role and duties of a Member of Parliament.
The two candidates affirmed their commitment to peaceful elections in December.
During an open forum, participants asked various questions on issues bothering them to which the two candidates provided answers.
They also suggested the development of the constituency and peaceful elections in December.
Hon. Sanja Nanja is the incumbent National Democratic Congress Member of Parliament for the Atebubu-Amantin constituency.
