ADANSI N: DCE cuts sod for CHPS centre for Dadwen community

Dadwen community in the Adansi North District will soon be benefit from a Community-Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound to bring health delivery closer to residents in the area.

The absence of this facility at the area over the years put the people through a lot of difficulties with health delivery and compelled them to travel long distances to other communities to access healthcare.

The facility when completed will comprise of male and female wards, Out Patient Department (OPD), two bedroom that will accommodate the health workers, kitchen, washrooms and two store rooms.

Speaking at the sod cutting ceremony to commence the project, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Eric Kwaku Kusi said the fundamental objective of CHPS compound is to make quality health care accessible to the people especially those in the deprived communities thus saving people from unnecessary death.

He assured that budgetary allocations through the DACF had already been made to help ensure immediate beginning and early completion of the project.

The Assemblyman for the electoral area, Hon Peter Dwumoh and other opinion leaders witnessed the event.
