AMANSIE W: Sod cut for construction of Police Post at Manso Odaho

The project is being financed by the Amansie West District Assembly with support from a businessman, Mr Stephen Asiedu alias Yellow man who has donated a cash of GHC30,000 towards the project.
Speaking at the ceremony, the District Chief Executive for Amansie West, Mr. William Bediako Asante commended the chiefs and people of Manso Odaho and Mr Stephen Asiedu alias Yellow man for their support, commitment to the construction of police station to help check crimes in the area.
Mr Asante Bediako said the District Assembly is to establish more police stations in some of the communities to address armed robbery and other crimes.
He appealed to chiefs and people to form community watchdog committee to protect the people day and night.
The District police commander DSP Badu Poku on his part said the work of the police is a shared responsibility and appealed to the people to support the project and always give information to the police.
DSP Badu Poku appealed to chiefs and people to provide a decent accommodation to the police who will be posted to the town.
Mr Stephen Asiedu alias Yellowman on his part said he is residing at the town and had in mind to support community projects like market centre and the police station to help check crimes in the area.
The chief of Manso Odaho Nana Adjei Kumi 11, thanked the district assembly and Mr Stephen Asiedu alias Yellowman for their kind gesture and pledged his people’s support through communal labour.
