The move, according to Mr. Thomas Appiah Kubi, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the area, forms part of activities and initiatives outlined by the assembly to mark his 100 days in office as MCE of the municipality.

He said it is the responsibility of the assembly to augment government’s various intervention programmes, such as the “Free SHS” to help assist underprivileged students in the area to further their education to higher levels.

He urged beneficiaries to take advantage of the offer and study hard to reciprocate the assembly’s kind gesture.

Touching on the free SHS policy, the MCE shared his optimism that the new policy by the government would take off the huge financial burden on parents and enable every child of school-going age to attend SHS.
