MAMPONG: 40 students receive government scholarship
The Mampong Municipal Assembly has awarded government scholarship to forty students at a total cost of over Eighty Thousand Ghana cedis (GHC 80,000) to enable them pursue various academic programmes at the tertiary level.

After subsequent interviews to ensure neutralism, forty student were selected to benefit from the scholarship ranging from seven thousand Ghana cedis (GHc7,000) to Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc1,000) depending on the fees each beneficiary student is paying for the 2019/2020 academic year.
In a short ceremony to present the scholarship letters to the students, the Municipal Chief Executive, Thomas Appiah Kubi stated that the Scholarship Secretariat has decentralized the scholarship scheme to ensure fair and equitable beneficiaries therefore an open announcement was made for interested persons to apply.
He then called on the beneficiaries to study hard and return to impact positively on the development of the municipality with the knowledge and skills acquired.
Some parents of the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the government for the scholarship and described it as relieve from financial burden.
