Asokore Mampong to have hospital if…..

The Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly will soon have a hospital if Assembly members approve a new proposal that will see the establishment of a hospital in the municipality.

This follows a proposal to the Assembly by the Municipal Chief Executive, Alhaji Alidu Seidu to convert a building under construction by the assembly and meant for a court into a hospital since the location has been realized not to be suitable for the initial purpose. The building is close to a mosque and such proximity is deemed to affect proceedings when the court is functional.

But in the absence of a hospital in the municipality, and also ensure prudent management of resources, the DCE has called on the assembly members to approve the proposal to help bring health delivery closer to the people in the municipality.

According to the MCE he has already consulted he Regional and Municipal health authorities to examine the suitability of the building or otherwise for a hospital.

He said Nana Asokore Mamponghene has also indicated his readiness to release another land at a suitable place for the court project should the hospital proposal go through.
