Daffiama Assembly to implement recommendations to improve standard of education

The District Chief Executive for Daffiama Bussie Issa District Mr. Nadi Imoro Sanda has revealed that the 42% pass of the district in the Basic Education Certificate Examination in 2017 is the best performance for the district in the past four years.

The district was placed 7th in the region in 2017 and had 32.1% pass in 2016, 27.9% in 2015 and 16.9% in 2014.

The DCE who was speaking at an educational forum held in Issa on Wednesday expressed concern over the issue and called for broader collaboration to improve the trend.

The DCE also assured the people that, the Assembly would incorporate all recommendations into the District Medium Term Development Plans to improve on the standards of education in the area.

The District Director of Education for Daffiama –Bussie -Issa Madam Juliana Bachor speaking said a lot needs to be done to address the falling standards of education in the district.
