Mr Samuel Sarpong, the Metropolitan Chief Executive, who announced this, said all unauthorized developments on schools' lands would be pulled down.
He was addressing a press conference in Kumasi to mark this year's World Literacy Day celebration in Kumasi on Wednesday under the theme: "Read Aloud."
He said the action by the KMA was in line with its efforts at promoting education, the bedrock of national development.
He spoke of the determination of the Assembly to help provide additional structures for schools to enhance teaching and learning.
It would also award scholarships to brilliant but needy pupils and students to pursue academic careers.
Mr Sarpong said the KMA through collaboration with Israel sponsored the training of 15 pre-school teachers in Israel, last year.
He encouraged parents and guardians to inculcate in children the habit of reading loudly at all times.
