MCE hands over motorbikes to Assembly Members

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Nzema East in the Western region Frank Okpenyen has presented 40 motorbikes to Assembly Members in the area to facilitate their work in various Electoral Areas.

The MCE also gave two gallons of fuel to each member to be used to start their work.

Presenting the items to the members at the forecourt of the assembly, the MCE said the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development in collaboration with the government has procured motorbikes to Metropolitan, and District Assemblies to aid the assembly members do their work effectively at their electoral areas across the country.

He ceased the opportunity to commend the Local Government Ministry for the support given to the assembly members to deepen the local government system.


He pleaded with the assembly members to use the motorbikes to facilitate the development of the municipality and also use their crash helmets when riding the bikes.

The MCE encouraged them to have trust in Akufo – Addo as it was bent on delivering on its promises.

The Presiding Member of the area Nana Effati Beyeman who received the items on behalf of the assembly members thanked government for honouring its promise.


He further charged the members to use the bikes for the purpose to which they were offered to ensure the well being of the people in their respective electoral area.

He urged them to regularly maintain their motorbikes to stay longer.
