The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Kwanwoma, Mrs. Grace Agyemang Asamoah, has paid a courtesy call on the Tredehene, Nana Nuben Sra III, and his elders to strengthen collaboration between the District Assembly and traditional authorities in promoting development.
The engagement took place on Friday, July 18, 2025, as part of efforts to deepen cooperation with traditional leaders on issues affecting communities within the district.
During the meeting, Mrs. Grace Agyemang Asamoah reaffirmed her commitment to advancing local development and improving the wellbeing of residents. She also emphasized her determination to support measures aimed at protecting the district’s natural resources and combating illegal mining, popularly known as galamsey.

She called for stronger collaboration between the Assembly, traditional leaders and residents to address developmental challenges and protect the district’s resources for future generations.
Nana Nuben Sra III and his elders welcomed the DCE’s engagement and expressed their readiness to work with the Assembly to promote peace, development and environmental protection in the area.
