The programme brought together resource persons from the Ghana Health Service who educated the general public on HIV/AIDS prevention, responsible sexual behaviour, and the importance of knowing and safeguarding their health status.

The health officials also urged residents to go for voluntary testing and counseling, avoid stigmatizing people living with HIV, and adopt healthy lifestyles to curb the spread of the disease.

Speaking during the programme, the facilitators emphasized that early detection and proper management remain key to living healthy with HIV.

The Assembly noted that the sensitization forms part of its ongoing commitment to raise awareness and improve the wellbeing of residents across the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District.
