The DCE toured several communities, including Coupon, Swedru Methodist, Akiss, and Prakrom, to inspect the growth of the birds since their distribution.

Beneficiaries expressed satisfaction with the progress made but highlighted some challenges.


They cited the high cost of poultry feed as a major concern and appealed to the government for periodic support. They also indicated that the timing of the bird distribution was not ideal and urged authorities to review it in future phases.

Hon. Rahim said he was impressed with the progress observed, noting that the initiative demonstrates the government’s commitment to reducing chicken meat importation.

The District Director of Agriculture, Mr. Owredu Gyamira, added that the DCE’s visit would encourage beneficiaries to take better care of the birds.
