Her confirmation, with 24 "yes" votes and one no out of 25 assembly members voting in her favour, representing 96 percent, marked a historic milestone, as she became the first female MCE of the Municipality with one touch victory since its inception.
Her honour Rosemarie Afua-Asante, the Juaben circuit court judge, sworn her into office to begin her office duty as the new MCE after the peaceful election, which was conducted by the Electoral Commission and observed by chiefs, security personnel, assembly members, the member of parliament (MP) and some party executives.
Ahead of the election, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Ashanti Regional Organiser, Mr. Isham Alhassan, who represented the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene urged the assembly members to confirm the nominee in a united manner to project a good image of the municipality in order to fast-track the development of the area.

She extended heartfelt appreciation to the national, regional, and constituency executives for their unwavering support as well the chiefs and assembly members for the confidence resposed in her.
The MCE, who until her nomination was the former parliamentary candidate (PC) on the ticket of the ruling National Democratic Congress for Juaben Constituency in the just ended elections, disclosed that she is not new to the Municipality as she was familiar with most of the problems faced by the people.
She mentioned, for instance, a lack of educational infrastructures, agriculture, poor sanitation, bad road networks, and unemployment, among others.
