Mr. Sebastian Obeng, shares a vision to empower his community by providing employment opportunities for the indigent residents taking advantage of the various policies of the government. And as a mining community, the municipality faces unique challenges, but with effective leadership, it can harness its resources to drive development, he added.

He said “my vision is job creation, prioritizing employment opportunities for indigent residents to reduce poverty and crime rates, fostering local economic growth through strategic planning and collaboration with stakeholders”.

The MCE pledged to improve access to essential services, such as education and healthcare, to enhance the quality of life for residents. In dealing with the environmental concerns, like illegal mining, the MCE assures that efforts would be made to ensure sustainable development and safeguard natural resources by working together with stakeholders, including the Member of Parliament, traditional leaders, and residents to encourage responsible mining under supervision.
