Mahama ends campaign tour of the Eastern enclave of Bono East Region

The 2 day tour had earlier seen the former President addressing similar gatherings in the Pru East and West as well as the Sene East and West districts of the region.
Addressing an enthusiastic crowd of party faithful and traditional authorities in Atebubu, the x- President expressed delight at the resolution of an impasse between the Party and the Atebubu Traditional Council and expressed his gratitude to Ohenpong Yeboah Asuamah I Omanhene of the Atebubu traditional area.
While extolling the achievements of the NDC in the municipality in terms of development, he promised to ensure stable power supply to the municipality by providing sub-stations if voted into power in December.
On the perennial water supply challenges faced by people living in Atebubu and its environs, the ex-President promised to deploy small town water systems to solve the problem.
While bemoaning the plight of farmers due to the high cost of inputs, ex-President Mahama promised the creation of Farmer Service Centers in all districts where farmers could access mechanized services, seeds and chemicals on credit and at the cheaper cost to boost agriculture and better the lot of farmers.
On a new maternity ward he has personally provided at the Atebubu government hospital, the ex-President promised to have it equipped and opened soon for the benefit of the people of the municipality.
The Presidential hopeful warned against any thoughts of voting ‘skirt and blouse’ by asking the people to vote for him and the NDC Parliamentary candidate Hon. Sanja Nanja in the December 7 general elections.
The former President was accompanied by high ranking NDC officials including Professor Joshua Alabi and the Bono East regional chairman Mr. Unas Owusu.
