Mr. Taasa's commendation follows intensified police patrols that have resulted in the arrest of four suspected robbers, some of whom have already been processed for court.

He stated that the heightened police presence had improved security in the community and thanked the Nungua Police Command for their timely intervention.

The assemblyman further revealed that the four suspected robbers were arrested because of the operation, and some had already been arraigned before the court.

He expressed the hope that those arrests would serve as a deterrent to other criminals.

“Some of the thieves came from as far as Dansoman to Nungua, but the police did well; the patrol team patrolled around 12:00 am to 03:00 am and even sometimes in the afternoon; they arrested about four to five people, and some have even been processed to court,” he stated.

He said as part of the operation, the Nungua Police Command had an engagement with some of the residents and urged them to remain vigilant, report suspicious activities, and cooperate with the security agencies.

The assemblyman called for continuous efforts to sustain the improved security while urging community members to support the police by providing timely information that could help in crime prevention.
