Lower Manya Krobo Hands Over Site for Transformational 24-Hour Economy Market at Kpong

Stakeholders in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality have officially handed over the site at Kpong for the commencement of the much-anticipated 24-Hour Economy Market project.

The initiative forms part of government’s broader economic transformation agenda aimed at stimulating local commerce, creating employment opportunities, and promoting round-the-clock economic activities across the country.

The ultra-modern market project is expected to transform Kpong into a vibrant commercial hub by improving trading infrastructure and expanding opportunities for businesses and local entrepreneurs.

According to stakeholders, the facility will include key support amenities such as a Fire Station, Police Station, and a crèche to ensure security, safety, and convenience for traders and patrons.

The project is also expected to strengthen local economic development by supporting small businesses, reducing congestion in existing market centres, and attracting investment into the municipality.

Residents and traders have welcomed the intervention, describing it as a major boost to economic growth and livelihood improvement within the area.
