Assembly Member appeals for footbridge for Pastor-Akura

The Assembly Member for Attrubuto/Abingakura Electoral Area in West Gonja Municipality, Mr. Adam Alhassan has appealed to stakeholders, opinion leaders, the general public and the central government to come to their aid by providing Pastor-kura community with a footbridge.

He said the footbridge that assists the people to get access to other nourbouring communities collapsed as a result of a heavy downpour on August 11 this year.

He is therefore urging the government to as a matter of urgency construct a footbridge for the people.

He added that, the footbridge when constructed will help school children of Amazing Grace Academy, Damongo Children's home cluster of schools and Damongo Agricultural Education College attend school regularly.

Mr. Alhassan said the heavy rainfall also affected a borehole facility constructed by World Vision Ghana and a CHPS compound around the area.

He was of the view that, the facilities may soon be destroyed by the rains if immediate steps are not taken to salvage the situation.
