The new two-storey office complex which is about ninety percent complete according to the Assistant District Assembly Engineer, Fred Amewode was started in 2007 but delayed until now.

He noted that the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) which is the source of funding for the Assembly complex delayed, but “I can tell you that the District Chief Executive, Sarah Dugbakie Pobee is doing all to ensure that we move into the current complex by end of the year”, he said.

He revealed that the current office block is weak as a result of corrosion from the sea.

“At a sit meeting, we agreed that we do not have to complete everything before we move in, what we are waiting for is the completion of the last floor and the ground floor; once we are in working they would continue to complete the first floor”.

He said the assembly is on course with various projects, we have completed some, others are also near completion.

Meanwhile just close to the new assembly complex is ongoing building for the District Divisional Police Headquarters when ghanadistricts.com news team got to the office complex.

The Assistant Engineer of the assembly further noted that with the assembly putting up divisional headquarters it would serve good a purpose for Kasseh, Big Ada and Foah. The project is expected to be completed in six months.
