The Rebecca Foundation supports Komfo Anokye, Kumasi South Hospitals

The Rebecca Foundation has made separate donations of hospital beds to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and the Kumasi South Hospital to help increase the capacity of these facilities to manage the intake of Covid-19 patients.

The Mayor of Kumasi, Mr. Osei Assibey making the presentation on behalf of the Rebecca Foundation indicated that the donation is to help combat the Covid-19 pandemic in the country and he is convinced that the donation will help increase the capacity of both health Facilities in the management of patients.

He commended health workers for their immense sacrifice and dedication to the fight against the virus. He added that the First Lady is grateful and hope the donation will support the improvement in the care of the Covid-19 patients.

Mr. Osei Assibey entreated the general public to always adhere to the safety protocols by the Ghana Health Service to help curb the pandemic.

The Chief Executive Officer of Komfo Anokye Teaching hospital, Dr. Ohene Owusu Danso thanked the foundation for the kind gesture. "I strongly believe this gesture will help our ability to take care of our increasing numbers of Covid-19 patients”, he said.
