Assemblies need to educate Ghanaians on water hygiene Sanitation Minister
Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Abena Dapaah has called on District Assemblies to continue to educate Ghanaians on hygienic ways of transportation and storing water so that it is not compromised at the point of use.

According to Minister, Water Sanitation and Hygience (WASH) sector has witnessed some changes at the commencement of the Sustainable Development Goals in January 2016.
And the creation of the Ministry has brought renewed hope of revival and improved (WASH) sector performance, the needed political priority and institutional focus.
She made this remark over the weekend when she received officially one thousand and twenty-nine (1029) boreholes constructed across the country by the Chinese government, through Zhongmei Engineering Group Ghana Limited.
The handing over was done at the commissioning one of the boreholes at Densuso towns around the Suhum Municipality in the Eastern Region.
Sanitation and Water Resources Minister further pointed out when she was delivering the key note address that, the Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA), has put in place some policy reforms within the rural and small town water sub-sector with the ultimate aim of employing professionalism to consolidate the gains made in the sub-sector.
“Cabinet has approved a loan facility of thirty million US dollars to expand the Yendi water treatment plan to increase access to portable water in the Municipality and its environs”.
