Fulani herdsmen donate to Kintampo Municipality

The Fulani community/herdsmen on the 12th November 2018 at a brief ceremony donated two motorbikes to the Kintampo Municipal Assembly for onward delivery to the Divisional Police Command of the Ghana Police Service.

The motorbikes, two of them Haojin brands were received by the Municipal Chief Executive Michael Sarkodie.

Speaking at the ceremony, the leader of the group, Musah Ali said, it became necessary for them to use this gesture to assist the police in offering effective policing to them and most people in the hinterlands which are highly inaccessible to the police patrol vehicles.

He said, the gesture was to complement the efforts of the police in ensuring lasting peace and security in the aftermath of the tribal skirmishes that were recorded earlier this year as well as secure their cattle which was under constant attack and theft finally, Musah Ali thanked the Municipal Assembly Noted that, the gesture will also go a long way to boost and to correct all negative impressions about Fulani Community here in the Kintampo Municipality.



There was a promise not to shield bad nuts among the Fulanis.

The MCE Mr. Sarkodie on the thanked them for the warm gesture and promised to put the motorbikes to good use.

He assured the entire Municipality of continues peace, security and harmony through his efforts, the police and the Municipal Security Council (MISEC). He asked the leadership of the Fulani not to shield the perpetrators of the law but rather assist the police to bring them to book.

Present at the ceremony were the Divisional Police Commander A.C.P Gyawu and the Municipal Police Commander Chief Superintendent Asare, Both of the Kintampo police command.
