Adaklu DCE Commissions New Classroom
The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Adaklu, Mr Kadey Phanel Donkoh has appealed to Traditional Authorities to support the Assembly to transform education in the District.

Mr.Kaddey made the appeal when commissioning a newly completed three-unit classroom block for Henakope District Assembly Basic School in the district.
The facility was funded by Pencils of Promise, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). ‘Pencils of Promise’ is a for-purpose organization that works across the globe to build schools and create programs around the goal of education for all, especially people in the rural community.
The DCE urged similar organizations and philanthropist in the district to emulate the gesture in order to promote education in the district.

He ceased the opportunity to encourage teachers and Education Directorate to go the extra mile to enable the District to maintain the top position on the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) league table in the Volta region.
On his part, country Director of Pencil of Promise, Mr. Freeman pledged their continuous support for education in the district, adding that the organization was eager to spread its tentacles to every corner of the district to give basic a befitting facelift.
Meanwhile, the Assembly has also presented two motorbikes to the supervisory unit of the education directorate in the District and two laptops to Henakope Basic School to help the team work efficiently.
