Rainstorm destroys Properties in parts of Jumapo

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for New Juaben North, Hon. Samuel Adongo, has visited the community of Jumapo following a devastating rainstorm last night that left several residents homeless.

Hundreds of residents were forced to flee their homes after several hours of torrential rain ripped off roofs, destroyed property, and disrupted daily life, including preventing children from attending school.

Hon. Adongo commiserated with the affected persons and assured them of the Assembly’s support. He stated that the Assembly would work closely with the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) to provide immediate relief items to those impacted.

The storm caused significant losses, damaging electrical appliances, household belongings, and business inventories.

Accompanying the MCE during the damage assessment visit were the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Ndinga Nborinyi; the Municipal NADMO Director, Mr. Helbert Danso; the Municipal Information Officer; and other NADMO officials.
