Chereponi DCE calls for partnership for community development

The Chereponi District Chief Executive Alhaji Mohammed Seidu Issah Abah has called for district level partnership for community development.

Alhaji Issah Abah stated that the partnership was to build collaborative relationship among private critical private community organisations to address critical community needs like the provision of  quality education portable water and access to quality health care.

According to the District Chief Executive in this connection the District Assembly would ensure that effective partnership was developed between it and the Ghana Education Service, traditional authorities, Parent-Teacher Association among others to improve the quality of teaching and learning in schools.

Mr. Issah Abah made the call when he addressed students from Chereponi Senior Students, 12 Primary Schools and 10 KGs from Chereponi District as part of activities to mark the 56th independence anniversary celebration held at Chereponi in the Northern Region.

He, therefore, called on the people to resolve to eschew laziness, absenteeism and lukewarm attitude towards work.

Alhaji Issah Abah indicated that this year's theme for the independence celebration œpartnership and innovation for building a new and better Ghana was most appropriate considering the economy status as a lower meddle income country.

In the Junior High School category Chereponi E.P JHS took the first position in the primary school category, Hamdanya English and Arabic Primary took the first category; in the K.G category, E.P K.G took the first position.

Each of the schools took away a wall clock, set of Jersey, football, water basin and small basins for washing hands.

He stated that the creation of the New Mion District Assembly among others was one of the positive steps taken by the NDC government to bring government very close to the people.
