BEREKUM: “Commit yourselves to principles of Christiandom” – Rev. Minister

Reverend Kwaku Twum Barimah, Berekum District Minister of the Presbyterian Church Ghana, has advised Christians to remain committed and explore the acts of worship whist harnessing the principles of Christiandom as enshrined in the Holy Scriptures.

He was delivering a sermon at a solemn ceremony to mark a 4-day Homecoming and special fundraiser in support of the construction of an ultra-modern Temple complex being put up by the Emmanuel Congregation of the Church at Berekum in the Brong Ahafo Region.

The Homecoming and Fundraiser which coincided with the Triumphal Entry of Christ into Jerusalem (Palm Sunday) and the launching of the Annual Harvest of the Congregation, had the theme; “Let us Rise up and Build,” quoted from Nehemiah 2:18.

The Rev. Minister asked the followers to observe the teachings of Christ, with the assumption that Jesus Christ was entering Berekum by then, to punish the wicked and reward the virtuous souls that observed his precepts and the principles of Christendom at large.

Leading the fundraising ceremony, Evangelist Alex Gyan Benneh of the Sunyani Presbyterian Evangelistic Team, called for all hands to be on deck towards the successful completion of the Temple complex so as to attract the Lord’s enormous blessings just as His glory filled Solomon, David and the house of Israel who contributed immensely toward the construction of an extraordinary Temple for Him from the bottom of their hearts.

On his part, Joseph Mensah Diawuo, the Senior Presbyter of the Church, disclosed in an interview with the ghanadistricts.com that Christians showed love to the LORD when they obeyed His command and sacrificed their bodies, property and lives to Him, hence he entreated them to contribute tremendously towards the erection of the church building complex.

The Senior Presbyter maintained that the ultra-modern auditorium, which contains gallery and office complex, conference room, and places of convenience, commenced earnestly in 2012, and is scheduled for completion next year.
