ASUOGYAMAN: DCE receives Lifetime Achievers Award

District Chief Executive for Asuogyaman, Samuel Kwame Agyekum has received a Lifetime Achievers Award at the 6th Congregation of the United Clergy International Association Global Achievers Awards held at the British Council in Accra.

The Award was given to Samuel Kwame Agyekum based on his immense contributions to the socio-economic, health, sanitation and educational growth of Asuogyaman District in particular and Ghana in General.

The selection of the awardees was based on statistical device conducted by a team of proven Christian Management experts, whose duty it is to meticulously nominate responsible Ghanaians and Institutions to be honored at the awards ceremony.



To mention a few of the achievements of Samuel Kwame Agyekum, he lobbied Ghana First Company Limited in the construction of ultra-modern toilet facilities across the District; through his initiative revived the Akosombo Textile Limited now Akosombo Industrial Company Limited under new investors; revived the activities of the District Education Oversight Committee after 7 years dormancy to attain a pass mark of 67.9% to 73.1% in the 2017/18 results with a regional ranking from 17th(2017) to 10th position(2018); and helped in the rehabilitation of ambulance for the District Health Administration.

Mr. Samuel Kwame Agyekum dedicated the award to the good people of Asuogyaman District and with all humility was humble to receive an award of such magnitude.



The award is the first of its kind for any DCE or MCE in the Eastern Region.

The event was attended by a number of officiating clergy including Bishop Kwame Aburam Anoff Snr, the Executive Chairman of United Clergy International Association, a team of clergymen from the USA, Hon. Paul Asare Ansah former Director General of the Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority, Chiefs from the Ga Traditional Council and other dignitaries.
