President donates 8 vehicles, 5 motorbikes to Bono-East RCC
The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo on April 15th, 2019 paid a visit to the newly created Bono-East Regional Capital Techiman.

The visit was to interact with Nananom and the good people of the Region. His first port of call was the palace of the Omanhene of Techiman Traditional Area, Osiadeye Akumfi Ameyaw IV at the palace, the president extended his heart felt gratitude to Nananom and the people of Techiman for their support of votes in the 2016 election that brought them to power.
Osiadeye Akumfi Ameyaw IV welcomes the president in to the Region and assured him of their support in uplifting the image of the newly created Bono-East Region, and said he has already given out 200 Acres of land under his jurisdiction for the Development of the Bono-East Region. The said land would be used for the building of the Regional office, and residential accommodations for workers of the Region.
Nana Osiadeye Akumfi Ameyaw IV urged the president to fast rack postings of qualified staffs to the Region for work to begin faster, he stress that, since most of them are with him here, he said some officers posted to the Region have already paid him a courtesy call to announce their presence in the Region. He also seized the opportunity to thank the president of the Republic for listening to their request and given them the Region and choosing Techiman as Regional capital.
In response, the President Assured Nananom that the head of Local Government service, engineer Nana Ato Atta has already posted the Regional Coordinating Director and some other key staff to the Region. He urged Nananom and the people of the Region to support the Regional Minister and his deputy, the Municipal Chief executive as well as the technocrats that will be working in the region to help develop the Region. He also assured the people of working on the road network especially the town roads in the Techiman Municipality and other road networks within the Region.
The president announce to Nananom that, the minister of Agriculture as sent Cashew development bill to parliament for consideration and that, very soon Cashew will also be conceded just like cocoa in Ghana with all the benefits attach and there will be No tax for exporting cashew outside Ghana. He said Cashew management board will be establish.
He called for unity among the political class and stress that unity and harmony among the political class will help develop the Region. The president and his entourage joined the Chiefs to visit the proposed site to cut sod for work to begin. After the sod cutting the president met with the people for a Town hall meeting at the valley view University campus in Techiman where he handed over eight new cars and Five Motor bikes to Nana Osiadeye Akumfi Ameyaw IV to be handed over to the Regional Minister for the Bono-East Region.
The breakdown of the vehicles are, two white Nissan pick-ups, three Toyota Hilux pick-ups, three Nissan cross Country cars and five Yamaha motor bikes were donated by the president to be use in the Bono-East Region.
