Agona East District Assembly Gets Modern Administrative Block from Gov’t
Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development is constructing ultra-modern administrative block for Agona East District Assembly in the Central Region, the DCE, Hon. Dennis Armah Frempong has announced.

The Ghc 2.5 million project which is expected to be completed in 12 months would contain 29 offices and a 150-seater conference room for Assembly meetings and workshops.
Cutting the sod to commence the project at Agona Nsaba last Saturday, Hon. Dennis Armah Frempong was grateful to His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo for the edifice noting it would enhance efficiency in the work of the Assembly.
He was also thankful to Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Hon. Hajia Alima Mahama for facilitating commencement of the project.
" The Assembly since it was curved out of then Agona District Assembly in 2008 has worked under congested offices compelling dual offices in a single room.
Most of decentralized departments are operating in rental premises. So we are more that happy that President Akufo Addo led NPP goverment has given us this laudable project which create employment at least for a year for artisan and casual labouers in Agona Nsaba and its surrounding communities.
I will like to appeal to the contractor to work within time to enable us move in soon after its completion"
Hon. Armah Frempong disclosed that the Assembly would continue to solicit assistances from the Central Government for all the decentralized departments of the Assembly to boost their day-to-day activities.
The DCE assured the Contractor that the Assembly would give the needed support to enable him complete the project as scheduled adding his office was opened for discussions and suggestions relating to early completion of the much awaited project.
The Omanhene of Nsaba Traditional Area, Bishop Osaberima Boapong Afriyie II said Nananom expect nothing but quality work from the contractor and his staff.
" Nananom would not not countenance any shoddy work whatsoever because Goverment has invested heavily in this project and it's up to us as custodians of the land to enusre that quality work is done.
While we appreciate goverment for numerious developmental projects going on in the Agona East District, like new market center for Nsaba and health facilitates, we would like to appeal for rehabilitation of road network in the vicinity.
Akim Oda-Agona Swedru Highway is in deplorable state and has developed 'manholes'. This is seriously affecting economic activities of the people"
Mr. Nii Anann, Managing Director of De-Lovely Ghana Limited which is undertaking the project said it would be completed as scheduled.
He disclosed in an interview with newsmen that apart from experts who would be from outside the district, employment would be create for the youth through arisanship and casual labouring . Mr. Nii Annan called for cooperation to enable the company work smoothly.
