ASENE M A: More schools get computer laboratory

Four selected schools in the Asene – Manso– Akroso District of the Eastern Region now have the privilege of having practical lessons in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) lesson following the provision of computer laboratories to the schools.

Until the provision of these ICT labs, most school in the district only study the theory aspect of the subject because they never had a computer, neither the teachers nor students.

The schools that benefited from the projects include Akim Eshiem AME Zion, Akim Akroso D/A Junior High School, Akim Manso R/C, Akim Asene Islamic.

At the ceremony to hand over the projects, the Member of Parliament for the constituency George Kwame Aboagye says this is something they want to do and get involved in, because not only is it their social responsibility but the right thing to do to ensure that students have all the facilities available to be able to progress in life.

Meanwhile the District Chief Executive Mr. Alex Inkoom commended the MP for promoting quality ICT education, saying it is a good start to the development in the District.

According to the District Education Director, Mr. Yaw Aheampong, the ICT center will bridge the digital gap between rural children and peoples in the city.
