ASENE M A: DCE cuts sod for two 6-unit classroom blocks for two communities
The District Chief Executive of Asene Manso Akroso, Mr. Alex Incoom has cut sod for construction of two 6-unit classroom blocks at two separate durbars for the chiefs and people of Akyem Eshiem and Akyem Manso respectively.

In his remarks, before the ground breaking, the DCE noted that government prioritized education, and that was why it had started some policies such as the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy and School Feeding Programme to alleviate the plight of Ghanaians.
“We have all come to realized that education plays an important role in every nation’s and Ghana as a country is of no exception. It was through this that, the government was doing its best to improve education to the highest level and also make it accessible for all”, he stressed
He indicated that, the two projects with ancillary facilities including staff common room, offices, stores and ICT centre when completed will complement an already existing 3-unit classroom block and wooden structure at these communities to absorb the increasing number of enrolment.
The project with estimated cost of GHS 1,000,000 is from the Assembly’s District Development Fund (DDF) and it is expected to be completed within 12 months.
Mr. Incoom thanked the chiefs and people for releasing that vast land for the projects and urged them to collaborate with the contractors to speed up work to even meet the first anniversary date of the District next year.
He asked the contractors to engage some of the youth and women in the communities in executing the job.
He also assured the chiefs and people that the Assembly and government are committed in helping to bring the needed development to the area.
At Akyem Eshiem, the Krontihene, Nana Koba III thanked the DCE for selecting his community to be part of the project. He urged his people to pray hard for the Assembly and long life for the DCE.
The Abakumahene of Akyem Manso, Nana Danso Frimpong III on his part lauded the Assembly for the kind gesture and promised to assist the contractor expedite the project.
He commended President Akufo-Addo for the implementation of the Free SHS policy and encouraged his people to take advantage of it.
