Eight communities in Buem to benefit from rural electrification
Eight communities in the Buem Constituency would benefit from rural electrification project being undertaken by the Ministry of Energy, Deputy Minister of Energy Owuraku Aidoo disclosed on the floor of Parliament.

He further revealed on the floor of the House that national electricity grid would be extended to communities under the phase 2 project when funding is secured.
Atakrom in the Buem constituency forms part of the ongoing Self-Help Electrification project (SHEP-4) in the Volta Region. All low voltage (LV) poles have been sent to the community and planted.
Again completion of works in the communities are expected to end by the close of the year as shortage of some critical materials had caused the delay of the project namely conductors and pole top accessories.
